Mark Adams

LGBTQIA*+ Community and Equalities Trustee

Personal Statement:

"I have always loved wrestling and have always felt honoured to be a small part of the British scene: I want our industry to flourish and firmly believe that transparent, strong values based around equity and a safe working environment for all will achieve this."

Experience in Wrestling:

Mark has been a non-wrestling talent in British professional wrestling for over 10 years. He started out as a ring announcer for Fight Club: Pro and expanded into commentary, backstage interviewing, managing and refereeing over the years. He also worked with over 25 different wrestling companies of varying sizes, from the smallest working man’s club to events at large venues that were broadcast live.

Mark has been based in Manchester throughout that time, but has worked across the North West, North East, Midlands, and Cambridgeshire.

Relevant outside experience:

Since day one, Mark has been openly gay within the industry. He was brought into the Trust. fold to represent the LGBTQIA*+ community within the Senior Leadership Team and head up the Trust focus group that represents the community. He has a background in Equalities work and led a team that achieved Stonewall Top 100 status for The University of Salford in the early 10s.

Likes and hobbies:

"Outside of wrestling, I am self-employed as a Humanist Lifecycle Celebrant (someone who writes and delivers non-religious Naming Ceremonies, Weddings and Funerals). In my spare time, I am a Scout Leader and a keen podcaster. I live in Manchester with my partner and our cat, Pasha."
